Bulldog Restaurant in Bald Knob

First time trying this place. It fills very homey. Basic menu. Fresh pies.. Friendly cashiers. Clean.

Hamburgers and tots Friday night. Burgers were very pink and fixi gs were incorrect but tots were good. Had 5 piece catfish dinner for lunch today. Was very good.

Love the food here the order has always been right usually a great staff highly recommend this place if your around bald knob. Great for lunch or afternoon snack or supper. Yall check it out

Good all American drive thru diner, but it's one of a kind, too. Type of place you envision working at when your in high school or college. Of course, their strawberry shortcake is the bomb! The menu is large and diverse and they have about anything for anyone. Its family friendly, right off the highway, and definately worth a few extra miles to avoid McDonald's and the like.

I dream about the catfish from here. No really, I do. It's wonderful! And the strawberry shortcake is to die for!

They have wonderful food. They have the bestBar-b-q. But I love the pizza burger too!!

I love Bulldog restaurant. I travel from Tampa Florida every year hunting & I always look forward to eating here. The chili is really great, the chicken sandwich is also really good plus the desserts are the best! We look forward to seeing u again next year. I wish we had a Bulldog restaurant where we live...we would eat there all the time

The Bulldog was a fun place to visit during my college years. The place is always clean, the workers are very quick to your request, and the food is always hot. Nice local joint. If you find yourself stopping through Bald Knob, I highly suggest “eating where the locals do”.

Wife and I both got burgers and fries. 2 chicken strip kid plates for 21 bucks. Place was busy food came quick, place was clean, and fairly cheap place to eat.

The staff was friendly and the food was yummy! We will definitely be back! I had the pork BBQ sandwich and it was a surprise! Great smoke flavor and just the right amount of BBQ sauce.

Great little place. Found it on the trucker path app claiming to have truck parking. I wouldn’t necessarily agree with that claim, but thankfully I haul rvs. Got to park overnight and enjoy a good meal with nice folks in the morning. Wish I had this luck every day.

The food is great, but we drove here for the amazing Strawberry Shortcake!

We eat there a few times a month and it the same every time. Their burger meat doesn't have any flavor. McDonald's has more. If they could add a little seasoning spices. Same for their BBQ it almost like they get it out of a tub off food truck. They do have excellent ice cream and service and a clean environment.

This place was great.we got the chicken tender plate,fries,coleslw.then they had a strawberry shortcake with vanilla ice cream, whip cream,nuts,fresh strawberries,with shortbread wafer cookies. It was so good..

Tacos are better and bigger than taco bell. Price are fair too. Great job. Thx

Strawberry shortcake is good

I went to the Bulldog on 2/16/2020 and I ordered a cyclone with oreo cookies, M&Ms, and Reeses Pieces. It was really good. my mom was with me we both got large cyclones and it only cost us $7.99. Way cheaper than sonic

Never had a bad experience at Bulldog. Their new peach shortcake is amazing!

The catfish was a pleasant surprise. It was better here than a lot of places that serve it. The restaurant seating area was pretty plain but the food was good.

Some of the friendliest staff you will ever meet! Food is amazing and fresh daily! You will never go wrong with their ice cream for a great price!

Great selection of home town American food and ice cream. Good prices and friendly service makes this local restaurant a win! This particular visit we had a burger and salad and was less than $12. What a deal! We will certainly be back!

It was good just a long wait for desert we didn't have time for but worth going

Saw on google that they were included in a top 50 burgers of America list, so naturally I stopped here on my way to camp.I ordered a half pound burger and fries that were very reasonably priced. All of the ingredients were high quality and tasted fresh. My only complaint is that the patty and fries tasted a little bland. I wish there was seasoning on them and I regretted not adding bacon. Staff was friendly, but I thought it was strange that the cashier went to make a shake for the lady in front of me instead of taking my order and so that they could get started on it. I waited at the register for about 2 minutes before ordering. Just seemed like it woulda made more sense for one of the three drive-thru girls to make it and keep the cashier at the register, but I guess things just move at a different pace in small towns. All in all I would eat there again.

Friendly faces and great food I always stop here when coming through the area. I enjoy the deep fried burrito and a chocolate chip milkshake.

We were disappointed. Food was okay, service not so much. Even when you're busy, an acknowledgement of a customer's arrival is expected. We had to wait and wait for our order to be taken. Staff was rude to other customers (except ones they apparently knew). I get that they are in a small town where they have been for a very long time and know the locals, and on a freeway where they probably get lots of visitors who they may never see again. Sadly, today's visit was memorable for all the wrong reasons.

Riding from Winnetka IL going to Dallas in Oct of '18 in a storm on my '07 Honda Interceptor I stopped here for some rest. I imagine the many folks eating there that dark day remember me riding up, as several commented on it. Some suggested I stay at the motel somewhere down the street. Friendly folk.I ordered some kind of Mexican fare that was what you would imagine. Yes, don't order Mexican at the dairy freeze is a good rule. 😉 What the locals ordered looked much better. The driving rain didn't let up, and against the advice of a very kind and well meaning couple as I suited up, I hit the highway. Some hours later I rode into Dallas in the wee hours of a chilly morning. The Bulldog and the good folk there are now part of a memory of a long ride home in 2018.

I went there yesterday and setting in front of the restaurant and waved at the waitress while I order by phone, 1 foot long hotdog and 1 small cup of ice cream with a lid, yet 18 min later I called them back just to find out my order had been placed on the warmer. And they put 2 foot longs in my bag, which I paid for even tho I only ordered 1. So needless to say they aren't on my favorite list.

Highly recommend! We had catfish, hush puppies, coleslaw and french fries; excellent! Also, I had some chocolate pie that was just like my Mamaw used to make. Yum!! We have seen this place for years as we were driving to Greers Ferry, but have never stopped. So glad we finally did! In fact, on the way home from the lake, we stopped again and got another piece of chocolate pie and a piece of lemon pie to take home...

I really enjoyed stopping to eat here.

The shortcakes are wonderful! Other food. I'm not too crazy about. Other than some of their plate lunches.
